I’ve read many times that one Ragdoll is never enough. In our case after just 2 months we were won over to the Ragdoll way of life and decided that Mr Darcy would benefit from a playmate.
Our experience with Mr Darcy’s breeder had been disappointing so this time we decided to do more research beforehand and found a wonderful breeder, Tanya at TzKatz whom I cannot recommend highly enough if you are in the UK. As luck would have it, she was local to us and a new litter had just been born so she invited us to visit. The kittens were about 5 weeks old and still so tiny, but one in particular was even smaller than the rest. Whilst the others all came up to us one by one, she stayed curled up in the corner snoozing, as if to say “I don’t care who you are – this is my nap time!”. I don’t know what it was, but both my husband and I took a shine to this little one. We were allowed to hold her and she happily snuggled into the crook of my husband’s arm and went back to sleep. That was that, we were smitten!
One day I was sat at work and an email popped up from Tanya with a picture she had just taken of Sookie. It perfectly sums up Sookie’s cheeky personality which we’ve come to know and love and I still smile whenever I see it!
Each morning I am woken by the ‘Sookie smoosh’ which is a series of furry headbutts to the face. If this doesn’t do the trick, she will swat my phone off the bedside table and paw at the covers purring loudly until I getup. On more than one occasion when I’ve pretended to be asleep she has actually burrowed under the covers and then patiently waited by my feet! My husband thinks it’s funny because Sookie never wakes him. However she IS obsessed with his feet and is ready and waiting to pounce if he dangles a foot out of the bed!
Next she will run to the bathroom and vault into the bath then meow until I turn on the tap for her morning drink. After all this she’ll happily go and curl up in her own bed for a few more hours of nap time – that’s irony for you!
Sookie is our little furball of fun and mischief! She is now a year and 5 months but is still a kitten at heart.

Purchasing my two kittens was a privilege and sheer delight. I was kept up to date about their health, plenty of information given on the breed, including dietary needs. Any question I asked was answered, and felt TzKatz is very professional, friendly, informative, and I may just buy another kitten. Neko and Zena are in tip top health, and are extremely happy.

I had never heard of ragdoll cats until my daughter Jade pointed one out to me, it was then that we both decided to meet with Tanya and view some ragdoll kittens.
We made the decision to take home with us two beautiful kittens, one female named Zena, and a male, named Neko. Nearly two years later and every day is still a blessing as we watch our cats grow, develop, and play. Their fur is still as soft as silk, their eyes are bright and stunning, their company wonderful. Neko our flame ( Red) point reminds me of a majestic lion, he certaintly behaves like the King of the house, Zena, is a blue Tortie point, the smallest of the litter, but so attractive with piercing blue eyes, Zena is always sitting in bins and bags and enjoys being the more adventurous one.
What a calm, inquisitive, striking breed, we do not have any regrets at all in picking ragdoll cats to share our lives and home with. Thank you so much Tanya for supporting us and becoming a breeder of these fantastic cats.

The kittens that we bought from Tanya were in exceptional health and had been very well looked after her since their birth. Tanya provided full details of their medical histories and also had them micro chipped for us.
Tanya clearly loves her kittens and I don't think you would be able to find a breeder who would do more to look after the interest of her kittens and ensure that they go to a loving home.

We are so thrilled with our two beautiful ragdolls males, they have a wonderful temperament and bring us so much happiness every day. We'd like to say a huge thank you to Tanya for bringing the cats to are home, helping to settle them and in and for all the wonderful advice on the day and in the weeks after. We couldn't imagine our life without our cats, we will never have a home without a ragdoll cat in it.

I came across Tanya's Blog when looking for a local breeder of Ragdolls on the internet and new instantly that she was not only interested in breeding as a business but adored all her cats and provided a warm and loving environment. My only worry was would we pass the test as prospective owners. We were openly encouraged to visit the kittens on a regular basis so that we had already fallen head over heels in love with them. The kittens were not even born when I first contacted her and over what seemed to be many long months built up a relationship with Tanya which has continued to this date even though we have had Archie and Tallulah for almost a year now. I know that if I had a problem or needed advise she would be the first person I would contact.
If you want a loving happy healthy bundle of fun then look no further than TzKCatz.

My experience of getting my gorgeous male blue CP ragdoll, Herbie, from Tanya was fantastic. I did a lot of research before choosing a breeder and Tanya was great. She was always really friendly and welcoming and was always happy to answer any questions I had. I saw Herbie every other weekend from 5 weeks old until I took him home and Tanya was always happy with me visiting. She encouraged me to meet her other ragdolls and see how her babies are bred which was really great. Tanya has also always been happy to give me advice now that Herbie’s home with me. Herbie’s a lovely, cuddly, inquisitive little boy and I’m sure his wonderful personality has a lot to do with how he was bred and looked after during those important first weeks of his life. Thanks Tanya!”

Tanya, I just wished to drop you a quick line thanking you for the ongoing help you have given us with Max and Merlin.
We really appreciated the many opportunities you afforded us to visit Max and Merlin before we collected them and I am sure that this ongoing contact between us and them in their own environment really helped with them settling in when we got them home. Aside from a period this year where they started fighting they have been both healthy and happy cats and again we really appreciated your help in dealing with that particular problem. As well as your own advice thank you for putting us in touch with others who were also able to help. I am glad to report that they are over this particular episode although I really wouldn't know how we would have coped without your continuing care and advice.
If you have any need I would be more than happy to recommend you as a caring and responsible breeder of healthy and adoring cats who is more than willing to put the extra effort in to continue to look after her extended family even after they have been taken away to new homes.

We bought Boo from Tanya last year to join our existing Ragdoll cat. We drove from London to view her - as well as get a vetting from Tanya that we were worthy of one of her cats! Luckily we all passed the test and almost a year on we can’t image life without Boo. Tanya was brilliant in coaching us in how to integrate her with our other cat. Now they curl up together and are the best of friends. What stands out for us about Tanya is she is passionate about ragdolls but also practical. While other breeders are very precious about Ragdolls being indoor only cats, Tanya has a realistic outlook and if there’s no danger of them being hurt, then the cat should be able to adjust to their environment. Boo is very much an outdoor cat and like her mum, Dora, a bit of explorer. Tanya is always on hand for advise, cares passionately about her cats and kittens and we’re very pleased our paths crossed as we now have Boo in our life – which my two young kids and Baggy our other ragdoll are thrilled about – even if she is a bit of a tinker!

We bought Bella and George from Tanya in June 2009 and could never be without them. We boarded our beloved moggy Willow and saw the most gorgeous cat called Jasper in the boarding house, when asked which breed he was we were told a ‘ragdoll’. So onto the Internet, just to see how much they were out of curiosity as we weren’t going to buy one… Out of all the advertisements (and there were many) there was one for Tanya complete with a little video showing their environment they lived in and their mother. So I phoned Tanya to buy a girl (just the one cat) which is of course why after visiting with my Mum we had two.
They are amazing and like little people. Any friends of mine who have had an interest in buying a cat we have always recommended Tanya to them, if we were buying another one we would definitely go back to Tanya as I know the kittens have come from a very loved household. We still saw Tanya and Derek on a regular basis and Tanya has happily continued to help with any queries we may have.

We visited Tanya to buy a Ragdoll after much research and almost had the pick of the litter. All the kittens were beautiful, happy and in good health. They had plenty of space toys etc and were obviously very well looked after. We were easily persuaded by Tanya that two cats would be better than one as we are out most of the day. We visited our two male cats several times and we were always made very welcome. Tanya kept us up to date with their progress. It was very exciting when we finally got to take Sparky and Smudge home and they are wonderful pets. They play together all the time and are really affectionate. They get on well with our Husky and all three can often be found curled up together asleep.
We are very pleased with our boys and would not be without them.

After researching the Ragdoll breed we contacted Tanya. A visit to Tanya's home to meet the cats and to talk at length with Tanya about the breed gave us the confidence to know that we had found the right breeder. All the cats were loved and cared for, happy and healthy. At the time we visited we met 10 day old Alice, a gorgeous cream point. We visited Alice several more times and were constantly updated by Tanya with news and photos of her progress. By the time we brought Alice home we had decided that a playmate would be good. Four weeks later Rosie, a lovely blue point joined our family. We have since welcomed Alice's Mum, Smudge into our home. They are adorable, they even go to the coast with us to stay in our static caravan.
Tanya has been so helpful and informative, always ready to advise if we have any concerns. She really cares about her cats and kittens, personally visiting their intended homes and is genuinely concerned for their ongoing happiness and welfare. We would have no hesitation in recommending Tanya as a superb Ragdoll breeder.

After meeting a friend’s ragdoll we were won over by the friendliness of the breed and decided it was time we could face replacing our much loved previous cat. Hours of Internet research later we were off to visit Tanya and meet her beautiful cats. We were impressed by the love and care the kittens and parents were brought up with and eventually came to choose our beautiful red point George. We were encouraged to visit George as often as we liked before bringing him home and when we couldn't get over there were always emil updates and photos. Nearly two years on everyone tells me how handsome our boy is, he's phased by nothing and loves everyone even our very large playful dog and I always know Tanya is there if I have a question or need advice.

We purchased a ragdoll Tanya a lovely bundle of fluff called zizi. Tanya was very professional and we felt confident that we were getting a happy healthy kittie. In fact we love our zizi so much we are purchasing another ragdoll next year from Tanya we can't wait

We were recommended to visit Tanya by a friend and I'm so glad we did. Tanya is friendly, knowledgeable and approachable and dedicated to finding her Ragdolls loving homes. We wouldn't be without our gorgeous furry friend who is affectionate, playful and all the wonderful traits you hope for when buying a Ragdoll.

After a previous negative experience, I chose to do some extra thorough research on breeders, and found Tanya. I was instantly reassured by her and her gorgeous friendly cats, who are clearly very loved! Tanya goes above and beyond to make sure her kittens are well looked after and will go to the right homes, and provides ongoing support to owners - exactly what you want from a breeder. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a furry feline family member! -

I can't recommend getting a kitten from Tanya highly enough. Not only are they beautiful and healthy but they're so well socialised so by the time you get to take them home they're such loving, well adjusted and happy little souls. You can meet both the kittens parents and see how they interact with the other kittens which is so important.
I can truly say getting my Freddie from Tanya has brought me such joy and I love him to bits...l just wish I had room for more!!

Just wanted to let you know Daisy has settled in really well. Lucy is doing her best to ignore Daisy and Daisy is being incredibly sweet with her.
I fed them together tonight and Daisy was allowed to eat first while Lucy sat and watched. Lucy kept giving Daisy's forehead a sniff while she ate - just to remind her she was waiting :)
You were absolutely spot on suggesting we had Daisy. I have watched them today and they take it in turns to sit and "observe" the other. They are so well matched.
Can't thank you enough for all you have done. You have raised some wonderful kittens and should be very proud.
